In the foldable reflector oven you can prepare bread, cookies, cake, but also fish, meat and poultry thanks to indirect heat and intelligent reflection of the heat. At the same time, you prepare other dishes above and in the fire, for example in the Dutch Oven. By placing the oven some distance from the fire, it uses the heat of the crackling fire, reflects it and stores it inside. You can start baking and cooking immediately as soon as the fire is lit. Just like in a regular oven, the food is cooked on all sides, with the difference that you can always see how far the dish has been baked or done. Depending on the heat, you can rotate the cookware so that more or less heat reaches the dish. When preparing campfire dishes in the Petromax Reflector Oven, special materials are used: heat- and fire-resistant fibers with a reflective coating. The included curved rods ensure that the oven retains its shape, so that you can safely place Petromax Dutch Ovens up to FT4.5, wrought iron pans or other cookware. A trivet placed on the bottom of the oven ensures that the Dutch Oven receives extra heat from below.
